12/31/08: A Yellow Page User - "Amazing doctor and staff"

If you want a complete eye exam and someone that takes that extra time and effort on your eyes, this is the place to go. Dr. Lisa Thomas is very knowledgeable at what she does, also very caring and sincere. You can tell she does what she loves. Office staff also amazing!!

All I can say is FIRST RATE! Dr. Thomas and her staff were friendly, answered all my questions and I came out with a great expereince and great glasses.

Just look at the waiting room (I tried to upload the one I took with my phone but it didn't work...I took this pic off their website) they have friendly service and I just got my eye exam from Dr. Thomas. I don't think I have ever had such a thorough exam. Most places I have been to get you in and out in less than 15 minutes and they don't explain anything...but Dr. Thomas is totally different she took time with me, answered my questions and you can tell she cares about her patients.
This place has exclusive lines like Shanghai Tang, Ed Hardy, and a large selection of glasses and sunglasses.
I had such a great experience that I made my husband and children appointments.

9/2/10: A Google User ‎ - "Dr. Thomas is super! Great with children."

I recently took my 4 year old twins to have their eyes checked for the 1st time. I have only been to pearle vision/TSO type places before, so was a bit hesitant to book an appointment at a "non-chain" place, but it was on my insurance and it was close, so we gave it a shot. So glad we did-- Dr. Thomas was WONDERFUL! It is a private practice, a super nice and clean office and is located in the same parking lot as Academy/Hobby Lobby/Houston Swim Club. She was so nice and was great with the twins. Dr. Thomas is very hands-on and did ALL of the testing and exam herself. I know in the past, at places like pearle vision, many times a tech or someone will do the basic eye tests, and then the dr. comes in at the end..not here. The receptionist was very nice upon arriving. Dr Thomas was super nice and did not rush us at all. In fact, after dilating their eyes, she walked with the boys to look at frames and try them on and then took them back and tested them again to see if there were any changes in their vision. She does have a variety of frames available for kids and adults. We were not able to find any narrow enough for my son, so she said she would call her rep and have them bring the full line for us to try on and get fitted. The receptionist called me about 30 minutes later to schedule a time for us to come back that was convenient for us. She also told me that one of my sons only had a borderline prescription and that while i could get him glasses, she said i could wait a year and recheck to make sure before i spent the money because it could improve-- Most places would have just sold me the glasses to make a profit! I just was so pleased with the entire experience and thought I would share for anyone who may be in the market for a new eye doctor. ** They also do free exams on infants through a program called InfantSee -- i believe that was the name of it.

9/28/10: LinkTown/Pearland Yellow Pages User- "Wow"

I have to say that I have been to a lot of doc-n-box kinda of places but this is a private doctor's office that is just amazing! The place is beautiful and they have a unique selection of eye wear and sunglasses. I hate to see other people with the same things that I buy....anyway Dr. Thomas and her staff was very kind and professional you have to check them out they are right across from the HEB plus store. I got a pair of John Varvatos eyeglasses and a new pair of prescription sunglasses called Wiley-X....I can't tell you how many people have commented on them. It you want the same old boring stuff then keep going where ever you are going but if you want something different then check this place out.

10/9/10:  Citysearch User - "Pearland's Best Optometrist" 

About two weeks ago while shopping at the new HEB Plus store I was on my way out of the parking lot when I noticed this store right across the street. Honestly...I can't remember the last time I had my eye exam so I thought I would stop by and make an apt. When I walked in this place, it was beautiful! (You have to see the inside.)
The front desk staff was warm and friendly and they took my insurance plan which is VSP and I made an apt with the doctor the next day.
I meet Dr. Thomas the next day and you can tell she loves what she does and is extremely through...she took about 45 minutes with me and she answered all my questions.
The last eye exam I had was at one of those chain companies where the doctors office is not part of the place where you pick your glasses. That's a problem for me because my last pair of glasses gave me a headache and the staff kept telling me to "just get use to them" ...so I never really wore them. (what a waste of $) But this office had a nice selection of frames and they told me about these high index lenses that are really slim and clear. So I decided to go BIG and get a pair of John Varvatos and these special lenses that they said had to go to a lab. Anyway...I just got my glasses today and they are awesome! I CAN SEE!!!!!
I would really recommend Dr. Thomas and her office because she takes time with her patients and they give a superior product. I have been wearing eyeglass since middle school and know that I'm older never really tried a private doctor's office. The lenses in my glasses are so clear and yes I did pay extra money for these but "you get what you pay for!" Thank God for Flex Pay!

10/11/10: A Google User ‎ - "A doctor that really listens!"

Dr. Thomas has been my optometrist for over two years now. Before then I had only seen an eye doctor once every few years after first getting glasses late in high school. And contacts never worked for me, one eye has astigmatism and I had never found a pair that wouldn't "roll" on me. The eye exam was very thorough and Dr. Thomas took the time to check the changes in my script and advised that I look into a new pair of glasses to ease the strain from my changing vision. Wow! What a difference it made - the blacks are crisper and the whites on road signs no longer have that "ghost" appearance. And contacts? You guessed it, Dr. Thomas explained that I have very curved lenses(?) and needed a special type of contacts - which sit perfectly without rolling. Thank you Dr. Thomas!!! This year I took my 5 year old son for his first full eye exam (with dilation) and at first he was afraid to blink with the drops in his eyes and starting crying. After the solution was in his eyes and he was all done, he kept saying "I wanna do that again!" And later when his friend asked him how his eye exam went, he told her all about the "fuzzy drops" and how "they didn't bother me at all". I've had glasses from Walmart, and LensCrafters, and Pearle VIsion, but none of those places had the fantastic care that I received from Dr. Thomas and her staff. Thank you for your excellent skill and judgement, you are by far the best optometrist in town!

1/22/11: Citysearch User- "Great Experience with Eyes & Optics-Dr. Thomas and the Staff"

I was with my sister who lives in Pearland over the weekend and she had an apt with Dr. Thomas at Eyes and Optics of Pearland. I was not even a patient but the front desk staff and Dr. Thomas were so great with my sister that I decided to book an apt to see her next week. I would recommend this office and Dr. Thomas to all my friends...I will have to drive in from Houston but it will be worth it. I used to go to those chain stores but was never impressed with the quality of care or the product...it was more like get you in and then out. What I noticed about this office was that Dr. Thomas and the staff spent a great deal of time educating all their patients about the different kind of lenses and what would work for you as an individual. The other great thing that I noticed was that Dr. Thomas worked with a lot of children...this is great because I was thinking about taking my son for his first eye exam. Overall was really impressed and highly recommend Dr. Thomas.

I'm new to Texas and I found Dr. Thomas on my insurance list and so I decided to take my teenager who has been bugging me for contacts. This office is amazing and no paperwork everything is computerized. My oldest wanted to wear contacts for the first time and Dr. Thomas did a great job explaining the importance of good hand hygiene and taking responsibility for contacts which are considered medical devices-who knew...we both learned something new! Dr. Thomas helped my son try contacts on for the first time and he loves them! We had such a great experience I made apts for myself and my other children.
My youngest is in Pre-K and this was his first eye exam he was scared at first but Dr. Thomas was so patience and kind. It turns out his eyes are great but he was up-set that he couldn't get any glasses like his brother.
Dr. Thomas is a great eye doctor for the entire family!!I

I took my 8 year old to see Dr. Thomas after her teacher noticed that she was straining to read the board. Dr. Thomas was extremely detailed oriented and great with my daughter...she took her time to do the eye exam and she answered all my questions! My daughter got her first pair of glass and she loves them. Thank you Dr. Thomas!!

4/12/11: LinkTown/Pearland Yellow Pages User- "Wood Frames!"

I have been looking for a pair of unique eyeglasses and I finally found it.....in Pearland! I didn't even have to go to the Galleria b/c I found a beautiful new office to visit right in my backyard of Pearland, TX. I got a exquisite pair of wood frames called Oga. Dr. Thomas and her staff are very knowledgeable and friendly...I made appointments for the rest of my family to see her later next week. I'm always willing to pay for good service and it's always nice to talk with folks that actually care about the service they provide.
Keep up the great work!! I would recommend Dr. Lisa Thomas and Eyes and Optics of Pearland to everyone in the Shadow Creek or Silver Lake Community...they are in the new part of pearland next to the Academy...right across from the New HEB Plus store.

6/11/11: LinkTown/Pearland Yellow Pages User- "Dr. Lisa Thomas is Pearland's Best Optometrist! "

I took my children in for a comprehensive eye exam and was shocked at the level of service, detail, professionalism, and technology/equipment that was in this private practice! The place is called Eyes and Optics of Pearland and the owner is Dr. Lisa Thomas.
I usually take my kids to the "big box stores" or "chain stores" around Pearland because they always advertise cheap prices but I have noticed over the past few years these places have poor customer service, rude front desk, staff with possibly little to no training and a told disconnect between the doctor and the place next to it that gives you the glasses. Last year we had a hard time at one of these chain stores...the doctor was okay but the glasses they gave my daughter was useless. I tried to ask the doctor for help but basically I was told "I only do the exam" so I told the people at the store that my daughter can't see out of these glasses and she gets headaches. Everyone points the finger at each other and I get a product in less then an hour... at what price? Lesson learned!
I think sometimes mass advertising sways us to easily to make decisions based solely on connivence and low/cheap prices but at the cost of good old fashion customer service and QUALITY!?! Pearland we have to do better then this...learn from my mistake and support our local private practices and doctors!
I will get off the soap box for a moment but seriously both of my kids got exams with Dr. Thomas, they love the glasses, and they can actually see better with no problems. Sure it cost more money but it's like the old saying, "you get what you pay for!"

10/3/11: Yahoo! Local User- "This is an awesome place."

I had been experiencing vision problems and would just get by. My vision began to get worse, so I opted to get a more thorough examination. Normally, I would just run to Walmart and get " quick, no expalnation, here you go exam." I drove by Eyes & Optics several times, before I decided to look them up and schedule an appointment. I was very nervous going in knowing what the outcome could be. The staff was great and Dr. Thomas.... oh my goodness she is the greatest. I went through my entire exam calm and relaxed until she sat me down to discuss my outcome. I began to cry...I became a" boohoo betty." I had not worn glasses in over 20 years and I knew that they would be thick and unattractive. Dr. Thomas calmed me down. I regain my composer. She gave me several options. I could still wear contact lenses and there were several otions for my eyeglass lenses as well. There were so many wonderful selections, I just couldn't make up my mind. I ended up with two great!!!! pair of glasses. I now wear my glasses all of the time. I barely wear my contact lenses. Where as before, I was so dependent on my contact lenses. I have a new attitude and more confidence in my new look. It has a year now...and my vision has improved and I'm loving my new look...Thanks so much Dr. Thomas and staff.

3/23/12: A Google User- Dr. Thomas was outstanding! Booked an appointment because it was conveniently located, but was pleasantly surprised on all levels. I have never had an experience like this at any doctor's office. Staff was extremely competent and friendly. The ladies took care of my insurance before I even walked in the door and had everything ready for me. Office was extremely clean and very well decorated. Dr. Thomas took time out of her day to talk to me and made me feel like more than just a name on a chart. It is great when you meet someone who is passionate about what they do. I found Dr. Thomas very inspiring besides being a great doctor. Go see her!! 

5/20/12: A Google User- Dr. Thomas was great! My husband and I saw her together, and it was a very easy process. She seems to genuinely care about her patients, not just an 'in and out' like most places I've been too. We also got our glasses there. They are mostly designer frames, so don't be surprised by the prices. But my husband and I picked up our glasses (it look less than a week to get them in!) and we are very satisfied. Oh, and the place is very clean, which was a definite plus for me. If you are looking for a good, long term eye doctor, this is the place to go!

I actually walked into her office before she was even officially open with pink eye and she stopped what she was doing and took care of me. It s a beautifully decorated place, easy access and lots of parking. Can t say enough good things about Eyes & Optics.

6/2012: A Google User- I just had my first appointment with Dr. Lisa Thomas. The contacts she put me in feel SO much better than my old ones and I can see better with a lower prescription. Plus she is really great about explaining what she sees and what she is recommending. Very professional place, highly recommended!

1/2013: A Google User- Dr. Lisa Thomas and her team are wonderful people to be around, and most importantly, very knowledgable. As far as her pricing goes, I was very satisfied. I had been going to the same optometrist since I was a child, and it was not until I went to Eyes & Optics of Pearland that I found out how grossly overpriced I was being charged there! My sister is now a patient of Dr. Thomas and is as happy as I am with her and her team. She was even able to help my sister identify and get lenses that stopped her car sickness troubles! This place is great needless to say.

1/24/13: Facebook User- Dr. Thomas is outstanding.She took so much time being sure that i understood cataracts.Her patience is rare. I drove all the way from Needville, Texas because my son who lives in Pearland and goes to Dr. Thomas said I needed her professional help and was he correct. My surgery with an oustanding surgeron in Katy tx is scheduled for Feb. 12,2013. I am so grateful to Dr.Thomas for getting me on the right path and thank my son for refering her.
Wherever you live, be sure you have an eye exam by Dr. Thomas.
